Terms of Service
Please ensure that you read and understand the following terms. If you are unsure, please ask us, these measures are to ensure clear expectations and to keep everyone safe while we work at your property.
AUTHORITY: The named client has the authority to act on matters regarding the property.
AGREEMENT: An online booking appointment or digitally read quote will form an agreement between Peacock Projects and the named client effective immediately and will encompass the specified service and all future services provided, whether agreed to by quote, email, text or verbally.
CANCELLATION: Bookings cancelled within 24 hours may be subject to $150 cancellation fee.
INVOICES: Payment for Invoices is due 7 days after the date of invoice. Collection fees may be charged for unpaid invoices.
TRAVEL: Travel outside of 30 minutes from Christchurch CBD may be charged additional travel time, this will be discussed before the appointment is confirmed.
PHOTOGRAPHS: Peacock Projects may take photos of the property before, during, and after work has been undertaken. These photos serve as record of work for both insurance and marketing purposes. If you do not wish photos to be used for marketing, please let us know as your comfort and security is of utmost importance to us.
SHOPPING: Peacock Projects provides a shopping service to complete property styling. Items are purchased to become the client's own decor. Items to be purchased are discussed with the client beforehand and an approximation of cost is discussed. Peacock Projects will purchase items on behalf of the client, Peacock Projects does not add any margin to items purchased and only charges for actual time used to complete the shopping. The client will reimburse the purchase price to Peacock Projects on invoice with copies of receipts.
SERVICE PROVIDERS: As part of the Project Management and/or Styling service, Peacock Projects may engage the services of a third party on the client's behalf. This is done with the client's consent which may be written, text, email or verbal. Peacock Projects do not add a margin to service provider's invoices, the invoice is addressed to the client who pays it directly. Peacock Projects is not liable for any loss, damage, performance or otherwise caused by the third party supplier.
PETS ON SITE: Please advise us if there are any pets at the property, where they are kept and if we need to keep them secured. If there is a dog on-site, we will not enter the property without the client present unless the dog is safely contained in a kennel, run or crate. This is for the safety of everyone, we love dogs and we would hate for anything to go wrong.
HEALTH & SAFETY: Peacock Projects maintain stringent Health and Safety procedures: We wear shoes at all times, we do carry disposable shoe covers. Where there is dust, vermin, mould or other contaminants; then masks, gloves or other protective equipment will be used. We do not climb on tables, chairs, benches, or unstable ladders. No entering into roof attics or basements. Cartons are not always filled to the top if the contents are heavy. We may request assistance or be unable to move items with increased safety or damage concern eg on stairs, vehicles, glass, steep sites or fragile items such as pianos.
PROHIBITED ITEMS: Peacock Projects will immediately withdraw from a site and charge a full day if the following are discovered: unsecured firearms, ammunition or gun accessories; non-household chemicals (exception for rural and lifestyle properties); illegal items such as drugs, drug paraphernalia, flick knives, knuckle-dusters; other dangerous items such as contaminated medical equipment, loose saws/blades/knives etc; large quantities of cash.
LIABILITY: Peacock Projects maintain appropriate insurances for conducting business. While all care and consideration is given, no responsibility for any loss or damage to property or items moved, packed or stored is accepted by Peacock Projects.
NZ LAW: The agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be void and unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the remaining provisions will remain in force in accordance with the Parties’ intention.
